Young men, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at women (lit., lowers your gaze) and preserves your chastity; but those who cannot should fast, for it is a means of cooling sexual passion. (Bukhari).

There are three (persons) whose salat does not rise even a single span above their heads; a man leading a congregational salat while the people hate him, a woman passing the night while her husband is angry with her, and two quarrelling brothers. (Ibn Majah, Ibn Hibban).

Hadhrat Ibn Mas'ood (Allah be pleased with him) and Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) narrate the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "There will dawn a time over people when the destruction of a man will be at the hands of his wife, parents, and children. They will humiliate him because of his poverty and will make such demands which will induce him to engage in such activities (to gain more money) which will finally destroy his Deen." (Baihaqi)

Allah the Almighty has said: O son Of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it (NOTE 29) (Tirmidhi).
